TL;DR: This November 8th, Jews of all backgrounds will unite to set a Guinness World Record for the largest Havdalah ever held, featuring a monumental, custom-made candle. More than just a record, the event symbolizes Jewish unity, resilience, and pride. Co-creators Izzy Sakhaie and Sabrina Neimark, now on Global Jewry’s Advisory Board, are inviting Jewish organizations and individuals to help organize, spread the word, and be part of the broader campaign to strengthen collective connection and purpose.
This November, thousands of Jews will come together for the largest Havdalah ever held.
At a time when our community is yearning for meaning, unity, and strength — we’re planning something bold.
On Saturday night, November 8th, we will set a Guinness World Record for the largest Havdalah ever held. But this isn’t about a record for the sake of it.
Together, we’ll bear witness to something unforgettable: the largest Havdalah candle ever lit. One shared light — not just seen, but felt — as a symbol of our unity and determination to keep that light burning. Havdalah is a ritual of resilience. It marks the transition from sacred to ordinary, reminding us each week that even in darkness, we are meant to carry light forward.
This is about showing up visibly and proudly as one people. Choosing connection over isolation. Pride over fear. Thousands of Jews across generations, backgrounds, and communities, coming together in one extraordinary moment of Jewish spirit.
We recently joined the advisory board of Global Jewry as its mission to foster deeper connection, solidarity, and shared purpose across the Jewish world is one we deeply align with. Unity is not sameness; it is showing up as our individual selves as part of a collective whole. And that is exactly the platform this campaign is building.
We are actively building a coalition to bring this to life. If you’re part of a Jewish organization, school, or community that believes in the power of unity, pride, and showing up for each other — this is your moment.
This event is the launch of a nationwide campaign: building momentum in the weeks before and continuing long after with plenty of ways to get involved. Whether you can help organize, sponsor, amplify, or bring your community into the fold — there’s a place for you.
So, we invite you to come make Havdalah history. To join in or learn more, reach out to isakhaie1230@gmail.com.
Shabbat shalom and may this be the week the hostages return home,
Izzy Sakhaie and Sabrina Neimark
