Jewish Arts Connect at Tempo Latino Festival
A few weeks ago, Jewish leaders from Global Jewry gathered in France for an experimental retreat centered on the Tempo Latino Afro-Cuban music festival. The retreat allowed organizations to turn the energy of virtual Jewish arts roundtables into real-world collaboration, creating space for participants to connect through music, culture and shared creative ideas. Representatives from Jewish organizations including Jew Salsa, Lazos, Global Jewry, and Jewish Majorca.
“Tempo Latino was a wonderful opportunity to connect with people from across the Jewish world” says Jewish Majorca’s Dani Rotstein.
Along with attending Tempo Latino, people got to visit a French winery, a medieval village and participate in strategic sessions focused on community growth and creative expression. Participants explored how a connected global Jewish arts network can foster new partnerships, launch collaborative projects and use the arts to build cultural understanding beyond Jewish communities.
