In Albert King’s 1967 hit Born Under a Bad Sign, he sings, “If it wasn’t for bad luck, I wouldn’t have any luck at all.” Many of us can probably relate to this sentiment, especially with the constant stream of difficult news. Yet, as we look closely, we see that positive things are happening all around us—both in the Jewish world and beyond.
Thanks to your continued support, Global Jewry is part of that good news. Here are five encouraging developments we’re excited to share with you:
- Our Growing Network
Our global network of Jewish leaders and influencers is expanding every day. We now have 342 partners and 732 advisors from all corners of the world, all of whom are united by our shared commitment to Jewish unity. - New Partnerships & Funding
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve raised over $100,000. These funds are helping us bring on exceptional talent to amplify your voice and broaden your reach. In addition to the incredible team at Andrew Exler Marketing, we’re thrilled to welcome Ruthie Rotenberg of Results Consultancy, who will be coordinating our webinars, and Melissa Levine of Melissa Levine Consulting, who will be expanding our GJ Communities of Practice. - Successful Networking Events
Last Sunday, we hosted our inaugural networking event in Washington, DC, where we held space for around 20 members of our advisory board to connect in person. The following day, we facilitated a lunch where 15 advisors met with representatives from key organizations like Emissary, Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM), Minds and Hearts, and the National Library of Israel USA. - Building a Stronger Community
Our GJ Advisory Board WhatsApp group has grown to 187 members, and even more exciting, many are using the platform to collaborate and create the interconnected Jewish community we need now more than ever. - “Ways We Can Help” Series
We recently launched the first edition of our “Ways We Can Help” series—focused on giving our partners tangible strategies to expand their reach. This month, we’re helping them craft impactful messaging for Giving Tuesday, a crucial opportunity to rally support for their important work.
While there’s still much to be done, we want to take a moment to celebrate how far we’ve come. None of this progress would be possible without your guidance, support, and active participation. Thank you for being such a vital part of our journey.
Shabbat shalom, and may this be the week that the hostages are safely returned home.
