CADENA México is a Mexican, Latin American–born humanitarian organization with an international footprint in more than 14 countries. Our work is dedicated to disaster risk reduction and to rapid, dignified response when natural disasters or humanitarian crises strike. From preparedness and community training, to emergency relief and early recovery, we mobilize volunteers and professional teams to deliver help where it is needed most.

CADENA was created from a simple but deeply held conviction: when human lives are at risk, we have a responsibility to act. Inspired by the solidarity and values of the Jewish community, we operate with an unwavering commitment to help any person in need—regardless of faith, nationality, background, or condition. In every deployment, we aim to combine compassion with operational excellence, partnering with local actors and authorities to ensure aid is effective, respectful, and accountable.

We also believe firmly in the power of collective action. That is why we are joining Global Jewry: to strengthen our mission through connection, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices with a global family of more than 500 sister organizations. We see this in Global Jewry’s mission to strengthen connections among Jews worldwide and pool our energy and resources to make collective action a possibility. By joining the Global Jewry network, we are able to learn from one another and coordinate efforts so we can respond faster, build stronger preparedness systems, and scale solutions that protect vulnerable communities across borders.

In practical terms, CADENA brings field-tested protocols for needs assessment, volunteer management, logistics, and last-mile distribution, along with experience coordinating with partners on water, sanitation and hygiene, food assistance, temporary shelter, and psychosocial support. We are eager to share tools that help us operate safely and transparently, and to adopt proven approaches from other Global Jewry members so that, together, we reach more people with greater efficiency in crisis settings every time.

For CADENA, this partnership is not only about amplifying impact; it is also about deepening Jewish communal bonds through meaningful service. We see disaster response and prevention as an essential expression of shared responsibility—one that unites diverse communities around a common purpose: saving lives, restoring dignity, and bringing hope.
