Hosted by Congregation Israelita Paulista in São Paulo, Brazil, performers and musicians came together last week to celebrate the legacy of Jewish creativity, Broadway, and Brazilian Musical Theatre.
Featuring acclaimed South American performers, alongside the São Paulo Big Band and Orchestra, the event honored the Jewish composers who helped shape Broadway through long-enduring musicals.
Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, George Gershwin, were able to create belonging among the Jewish community through beautiful production and artistry. As Congregation Israelita Paulista celebrates its 90th anniversary, they too can reflect on their contributions to create community and connect Jews across generations.
