TL;DR: With the 2025 Global Jewry Prizes application ending period soon, we are celebrating strong interest and diverse submissions that highlight growing collaboration across the Jewish world. In the months ahead, we’ll review lessons from this year’s cycle and begin shaping an even more impactful 2026 program, one that expands reach, strengthens global cooperation, and deepens cross-border partnerships. While applications end on November 30th, the work of building a more connected Jewish future continues.
Sunday, November 30th marks the final day for organizations to submit applications for the Global Jewry Prizes and, with the close of this year’s cycle, we are looking ahead to what comes next.
The 2025 prizes have generated strong interest across the Jewish world, and we are encouraged by the breadth of organizations that have stepped forward to highlight their collaborative work. From local initiatives to global partnerships, the submissions reflect a growing recognition that the challenges facing Jewish communities today require shared effort, shared creativity, and shared purpose.
We want to thank everyone who has made a referral, nominated a collaboration or helped craft an application. We also appreciate the time our readers have devoted to the selection process — skillfully led by Brina Chu — as well as the time our Selection Committee will spend choosing the winners of each prize.
Over the coming months after applications close, we will be doing more than simply announcing the winners. We will be reviewing what we learned from this year’s prize cycle and considering several refinements designed to expand reach, strengthen impact, and deepen engagement. The 2025 momentum has demonstrated that organizations are eager for opportunities to work together—and to be recognized for doing so. Our goal now is to build on that energy and shape a 2026 program that is even more aligned with the evolving needs of Jewish communities worldwide.
We will also be exploring ways to integrate the prizes more fully into Global Jewry’s broader vision for global Jewish cooperation. This includes strengthening international outreach, enhancing opportunities for cross-border partnerships, and continuing to create platforms where organizations can connect, collaborate, and amplify one another’s work.
As we near the end of the 2025 application period, we extend our appreciation to every organization that submitted this year. Your work inspires our mission and guides our next steps. And while November 30th is the last day to apply for the 2025 prizes, it also marks the beginning of our work to shape an even more impactful, inclusive, and energizing initiative for 2026.
Stay tuned—there is much more to come.
Shabbat Shalom and may this be the week the remains of all hostages return home,
Sandy Cardin
