Rafi Addlestone has always been passionate about community and its potential for positive change, inspired by his grandfather, who founded their synagogue, Etz Chaim in Leeds, England.
Rafi’s professional journey began in the UK civil service, where he worked in education and children’s services. Later, he transitioned to consulting at Deloitte, leading globally on sustainability and impact advisory for tech, media, and telecom clients. Now, Rafi leads Pineapple Partnerships, a ‘think-do’ consultancy dedicated to fostering partnerships to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future.
Outside of work, Rafi is trustee of JW3 (London’s JCC), vice-chair of Golders Green Synagogue, and previously served as a trustee of the UK’s Israel engagement charity, UJIA. He’s also a trustee of EcoJudaism, founded the Jewish Climate Professionals Network, and chairs the Global Jewry’s first Community of Practice on climate action and sustainability.
