Oded Hermoni is a venture capitalist and social entrepreneur who, with Jim Koshland, co-founded J-Ventures Group, a modern “capitalist kibbutz” that manages $75m and is empowered by 400 Jewish business and community leaders in 39 Jewish communities across the globe. The group has invested in over 40 companies, including several unicorns, and its mission includes connecting the Jewish world and the next generation.
A VC since 2006, Oded has invested in more than 100 companies, of which more than 25 have been acquired or gone public.
Before founding J-Ventures, Oded was a partner in several VC firms, a VP at the TASE-listed Capital Point investment group, and worked for 9 years as a journalist and editor at Haaretz and The Marker.
He also founded the largest Israeli tech industry and VC organization (now IATI).
Oded is a Wexner Heritage alum and has served on the board of many Bay Area Jewish organizations as well as United Hatzalah.
Oded is the proud father of two and lives with his wife in Los Altos, CA.
