Noa Hermele serves as Director of Paideia, the European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden, and Rector of Paideia Folkhögskola, the first Jewish Cultural College in Sweden.
Noa was a Raoul Wallenberg Fellow in the first Paideia cohort and holds MA degrees in Philosophy, Mathematics, and Educational Management from the University of Stockholm and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Noa is a board member of the Jewish Cultural Magazine in Sweden, board member of RIO – the umbrella organization for the 114 Swedish Cultural Colleges owned by civil society organizations, and a member of the steering committee for the Yiddish Language Centre at the Institute for Language and Folklore. In 2023, the Swedish Government appointed him to serve as a member of the reference group to the State Inquiry for a National strategy for strengthening Jewish life in Sweden.
Noa has previously been a board member of the Forum for Jewish Studies at Uppsala University and chairperson of the Committee for National Minorities at the Swedish Arts Council.
Noa lives with his family in Stockholm, Sweden.
