Menachem Bombach, a Vizhnitz Hasid and entrepreneur, is revolutionizing Haredi education in Israel through the Netzach Yisrael Educational Network. Born in Meah Shearim, Jerusalem, Bombach studied at the Mir Yeshiva before earning degrees from Hebrew University. He founded the HaMidrasha HaHassidit boys’ residential high school in Beitar Illit and established Netzach Yisrael, a network of Haredi schools that provides students with a strong Haredi education while preparing them for the bagrut (matriculation) certificate. This approach empowers graduates to build financially stable futures while remaining connected to their Torah observance values.
The network has grown to 20 schools, serving thousands of students, and includes the Eshkolot Virtual School, an online platform for pre-academic studies. In March 2022, Netzach Educational Network was awarded the Annual Jerusalem Unity Prize for its efforts in advancing mutual respect, tolerance, and Jewish unity across the diverse Jewish world. Bombach’s innovative educational model is transforming the Haredi community, enabling students to integrate into the Israeli economy without compromising their religious beliefs.
